To provide a more comprehensive overview of occupations in Missouri, MERIC has combined short-term and long-term occupational projections, wage data, and general education and/or training requirements on this page. The information is sorted by Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) or Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP).
The Missouri Department of Economic Development publishes occupational employment and wage data in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Occupational employment projections are developed using data from Missouri's occupational employment and wage survey along with information provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The U.S. Employment and Training Administration provides funding for the employment projections program.
The National Crosswalk Service Center (NCSC), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education developed the crosswalk table between SOC - CIP. This was used to link occupations to educational programs, the crosswalk is still being developed and is not yet a complete list.
