Clinical and Medical Social Work


Clinical and Medical Social Work. An instructional program that prepares individuals for the independent practice of social work in mental health clinics, hospitals, and community health service organizations. Includes instruction in psychiatric case work, clinical interviewing techniques, therapeutic intervention strategies, psychological test administration, family counseling, social rehabilitation, record-keeping, and liaison with other community support agencies and services.
