Fourth Quarter Job Forecast:
Kansas City is Hot!
U.S. employers anticipate moderate continued
hiring through the remainder of the year, says a new career
service survey of 1,150 hiring managers. The percentage of
hiring managers planning to add jobs in the upcoming quarter
dropped from 47 percent in June to 37 percent in
CareerBuilder.com’s latest job survey.
The survey also says Kansas City is eighth in the nation in most
job openings per 100,000 residents.
According to CareerBuilder.com's Q4 Job Forecast, those adding employees in the fourth quarter are recruiting for a mixture of both permanent and seasonal positions. While 21 percent of hiring managers planned to recruit ten or fewer employees, 18 percent expected to recruit more than 50.
