2009 County Per Capita Personal Income St. Louis County had the highest per capita income in Missouri in 2009, according to recently released data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. The county's per capita income of $52,214 was more than $16,000 higher than the state average of $36,181. Fifty-six counties in Missouri had per capita incomes of $30,000 or higher in 2009. Bollinger County had the largest increase in per capita income between 2008 and 2009 with growth of 11.4 percent.

St. Louis County was followed by Pulaski ($42,392), Platte ($42,266), Andrew ($40,911) and Cole ($39,578).
